Hi!  My name is Mrs. Deyo and I’d like to welcome you to Windy Hills.  3rd Grade is a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures, and I’m so excited to learn together this school year.

I grew up on a farm near Cairo, Nebraska and graduated from Centura High School.  I moved to Lincoln to attend the University of Nebraska…GO HUSKERS!  I majored in Elementary Education and couldn’t wait to become a teacher.  In 2007, I earned my Master’s Degree from Doane College in Curriculum and Instruction.  I strongly believe in lifelong learning and enjoy taking classes during the summer to continue working on becoming the best teacher I can be! 

I taught 5th grade for two years in David City, NE before moving to Kearney where I taught 5th grade at Northeast Elementary for 10 years.  I made my move to Windy Hills in 2012 to teach 4th grade.  I taught 2nd grade for 6 years and now teach 3rd grade. I'm so excited to take you from where you are in your learning to where you need to be for 4th grade.  We will have an outstanding year growing together!

I am married to a wonderful man, Jarad, and we enjoy loving our dogs, Tango and Cash, our Great Danes.  The Deyos are HUSKER fans and enjoy college football…GO BIG RED!  I also enjoy gardening, watching movies, reading, running, and spending time with family and friends.
