I look forward to an excellent year of learning and fun!

 

I grew up on a farm in Maxwell, which is a very small town near North Platte.  I spent a lot of time helping out with the animals, raking hay, and piling hay bales.  I also spent a lot of time reading books either in a tree or on top of the barn.  I have two brothers, who are both accountants.  I also have a sister who teaches in Lexington. My parents still live on the farm, but are enjoying retirement.   

 

Currently, I live in Overton.  My husband, Brian, is the PreK-12th grade principal at Overton Public School. I have a daughter named Haley, and 2 sons named Braden and Brody.  In my free time, I love to read, golf, garden, travel, cook, bake, and spend time with family and friends. 

 

I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University. I received my master's degree from Peru State College. My teaching experience includes:

2003-2005 Title I Reading and Math instruction at Cedar Bluffs Elementary in Cedar Bluffs, NE

2005-2008 2nd grade teacher at St. Wenceslaus Elementary in Wahoo, NE

2008-2011 3rd grade teacher at Windy Hills Elementary

2011-present 5th grade teacher at Windy Hills Elementary
